Spring Refresh Rituals
I had been on the hunt for a lighter turquoise throw to replace our cashmere one for sometime so when I saw this cotton Pom Pom throw from Hattan Home, I ordered it immediately. (If you've never visited Hattan Home, it an online shop curated with confections for the home - I had to stop myself from putting everything in my cart)!
Upon the perfect pom's arrival, I knew I had to start reviving my spaces for spring. There is nothing like a little assessing, organizing, & deep cleaning to bring a space to life (and to serve as a back drop to show off great new home decor)!
Below are a few items on my long list of to-dos for reviving my home for spring.
In addition to lightening up my decor I love taking a weekend to clean, & de-clutter my spaces. I'm no Martha Stewart but here's a few things on my list of refresh to-dos:
Take decorative pillow covers, upholstery cushion covers, and drapes to the dry cleaner. The colors look so much brighter & crisp!
I've started doing this in the last few years, I go through rooms & closets & look for decorative accessories, art, other accents, etc. &, if I haven't used them in a while, I make three piles, one to donate, one to gift to friends & family or E-Design clients, & lastly one to sell. After I've finished, every space looks lighter & pulled together.
Finally, I go through my myriad of magazines & if one doesn't have a a few compelling articles, I donate them to my local libraries magazine exchange.
